Matt in Tights!

Yesterday's theme @sketch_dailies was Robinhood. I couldn't help but put my boyfriend's face on there with the famous tights. lolol.

Procreate!

I recently picked up Procreate again on my Ipad. I have to say i am liking it! It takes a bit getting used to, and the pen isn't as sensitive as using the wacom on a desktop but its a great sketching/ quick painting tool. I hope to do more sketching and speed paintings on this in the future!

Bark & Wine Ball Illustration

Omgsh! It's been so long since I last posted. Here's an illustration I did for a charity call called the Bark and Wine Ball. The theme as you can tell is Cinderella. Love the fairy dust!

My Parent's Backyard

I did this today. This is my favorite part of my parent's backyard. It's right in front of my dad's studio. I've always wanted to paint this spot.

A super late Halloween piece! I did this for my friends Vicky and Mike's new book launching party at Nucleus!

Sorry for the absence! This is a piece I did for a charity event called The Snowflake Ball in support of Crohn's, Colitis and Colorectal Cancer research in Canada. The theme is Sping Time in Paris.

Here's something I did over the holidays for Matt's mom. Her friend has this gorgeous estate in Watsonville, CA. I went over there to take some pictures for the painting and discovered this beautiful pond! It was almost like something out of a story book. I had to paint it!

CDA drawings

Here are some drawings I did last night in my class at CDA. I am ghetto, I took pictures of them via my Photobooth on my computer because my scanner isn't working at the moment.

These were way fun! there was one that was 30 seconds, and i think the rest were 3 min? Some of them are stylized because we are supposed to be playing with the models proportions and design a character based on the model. We are going to be doing these for the next 2 weeks. I can't wait til the next class!

Here I am posting another one I did yesterday. I meant to put 3 trees down.. but I couldn't control the running paint! Twinning is bad.. won't do that again.

Color Comping

My class at CDA is going so well. I havne't had anything to post because we are still retouching the basics of the anatomy in the language of animation. Next week we are going to have a model come in which I am super psyched about! Anyway, the class has been so inspiring, I woke up early to do some color comps before work today! I hope to get better at color, so I guess I better pay my dues!
